Medtronic Sells Physio-Control to Bain Capital for $478M
Bain Capital describes troubled Physio-Control business as a market leader at the forefront of emergency response technology.
Medtronic, Inc. has finalized the sale of its Physio-Control defibrillator business to Bain Capital for $478 million in cash. Announced first in November 2011, the sale includes the promotion of Brian Webster from president to CEO of newly independent automated external defibrillator maker.
