Unlike some other emerging markets, China has a medical device regulatory system in place that is both substantial and challenging.
The Chinese market for medical devices holds enormous cache for foreign manufacturers, and for good reason. This article has some problems...90% of medical devices in China are not imported...China has its own large domestic medical device industry....also, while risky devices in China could use foreign clinical data for product registration in the past....this trend is changing and more and more risky products will also require local clinical studies (in addition to foreign data) to be registered. THX
