Positioning Statement DYMAX solutions maximize assembly process efficiencies by increasing throughput, enhancing quality, conserving energy, improving safety, and reducing environmental impact.
From the design phase through performance testing, DYMAX personnel routinely assist manufacturers in solving their most complex application problems. With an innovative R&D staff, experienced applications engineers, technically-proficient sales managers, and a knowledgeable customer support team, DYMAX is dedicated to providing cost-saving assembly and coating solutions to manufacturers in today's highly competitive environment.
Company Profile For over 30 years, DYMAX, an ISO 9001:2000 certified company has specialized in the formulation, manufacture, and service of light-curable adhesives, UV/Visible light-curing equipment, and supporting dispensing systems that make manufacturers more efficient.
DYMAX is also a global leading manufacturer of a special line of light-curable adhesives for all facets of medical device assembly. Single-component MD® adhesives are USP Class VI and ISO 10993 certified and used to assemble reservoirs, syringes, respiratory masks, catheters, tube sets, and surgical instruments. DYMAX medical device adhesives are solvent-free, RoHS-compliant, and cure in seconds upon exposure to long wave UV/Visible light. Light-curable adhesives help optimize the speed of automated assembly, allow for 100% in-line inspection and increase throughput.
DYMAX’s years of experience in the adhesive manufacturing industry have resulted in the creation of technologies that led to the development of over 25 patents and cutting-edge technologies such as fluorescing adhesives and adhesives that can cure through semi-opaque and UV-inhibited plastics. They recently developed See-Cure technology. See-Cure adhesives are bright blue in the uncured condition making them easy to see on substrate surfaces. The blue-colored See-Cure adhesives will not permanently stain the component surfaces that they contact. Because the blue color is extremely visible, simple vision systems can be incorporated into assembly processes prior to curing in order to easily identify adhesive coverage and profile. The adhesive’s blue color becomes the visible indicator that identifies when sufficient light energy has been provided to the adhesive bond area to achieve full cure. But, the color is only temporary! As the adhesive cures, the blue color within the adhesive fades and ultimately turns clear upon full cure.
DYMAX also manufactures a complete line of UV/Visible light-curing spot lamps, flood lamps, and conveyor systems that are completely compatible with their adhesives.
DYMAX offers free adhesive samples, bonding analysis, and process-design assistance. For manufacturers who are contemplating assembly with light-curable adhesives, DYMAX Application Engineers can perform comprehensive laboratory testing on the manufacturer’s actual components using material samples. A summary report is returned to the manufacturer, along with bonded parts for final evaluation. DYMAX will assist manufacturers in creating a complete, stand-alone adhesive curing system or help integrate DYMAX products into existing assembly lines. A trial rental/lease program is also available to customers that want to evaluate UV/Visible light-curing equipment in their own lab.
With an innovative R&D laboratory, experienced staff of applications engineers, worldwide sales force, and knowledgeable customer service representatives, DYMAX is dedicated to creating assembly solutions for their customers’ demanding manufacturing applications. DYMAX serves the assembly needs of the medical, electronic, optical, military, automotive, metal finishing, and industrial markets worldwide. The corporate office is located in Torrington, CT with additional facilities in Germany, China, and Hong Kong.
